Afterschool Program

Crestmont’s extended day program is available before and after every regular school day and all day during school vacations other than summer. The program is closed on all official holidays such as Presidents’ Day and Memorial Day.

Early morning care is provided from 7:30 AM, and after-school care runs until 6:00 PM. The extended day fee is $6.00 per hour.

Children in the morning program may choose to work on art projects, play board games, read stories or play outside. The after-school program offers the chance to stretch out a bit and explore a wider variety of activities. Indoors, students can be seen painting pictures, curled up with books, building Lego cities, or playing rousing games of Topple. Outdoors, they may be playing basketball, four-square or tether ball, or following their imaginations on the playground. A nutritious snack is offered at 4:30.

Supplementing the extended program are periodic special programs like yoga, dance, knitting, chess, fencing and music lessons. Nominal additional fees may be charged for some of these programs to pay outside staff or cover the cost of special materials. Students and parents are encouraged to offer special enrichment activities that utilize their skills and talents.
