Anette Skloot
Kindergarten Aide
Anette Skloot has been an active participant in the Crestmont community ever since her son, Nadav, started Kindergarten three years ago. She has worked in Nadav’s classroom every year, but she has also supported the 4th grade reading program. Last year the school was fortunate to have Anette share her love of music by teaching the recorder to the upper grades, which culminated in a performance during the school’s annual Spring Sing. She also holds the Vice President position on the board and helps out with the brand new music program.
Anette started teaching music while still living in her native Sweden. After getting her BA in music from UC Berkeley, she has worked as a private flute and piano teacher for over 14 years. It’s always been the younger students that have been the most rewarding to teach, so being an aide in Kindergarten was natural fit. During her spare time Anette enjoys playing Irish music with her husband and friends, reading books, playing board games with Nadav, and doing Sudoko.
