Patti Lutke

Learning Specialist

Patti has over 20 years experience and has taught every grade level at one point or another. She got her BA degree in Psychology from San Jose State and began working with emotionally disturbed children with the intention of becoming a child psychologist, but realized a teacher has more time with the children and therefore greater impact. So she went back to school for her teaching degree and then went on to get her Masters in Education from Santa Clara University, specializing in learning disabilities.

She has been a Special Education teacher in both public and private schools in Los Gatos, San Diego, Oakland, Ojai and Oxnard California. In addition to teaching Patti has worked in staff development for an international non-profit for many years. Patti is a co-active life coach certified by CTI and has been on a spiritual quest for over 30 years studying meditation, yoga and eastern philosophies, including Shamanism. When she is not at Crestmont, Patti does shamanic sessions for adults, workshops for children of all ages, and private tutoring. She loves Crestmont and is happy to have found this community where parents really care about their children’s education and alternative ways to approach it!
