A look back

I happened to read through a binder of past newsletters last week. Here are some highlights…

Ten years ago

• There was an announcement for a snow trip at Camp Richardson in March. Rooms were $65 a night!
• Crestmont holds retirement party for Ranger Tim from Tilden Park, a long time friend of the school. Slug cookies and mud pudding are served.

Twelve years ago

• Participating parents and others cleaned the skeleton of a horse found during a hike. Camille’s students study the bones.

Twenty-two years ago

• Camp out and potluck held at Mount Tamalpais
• Families are reminded of their requirement to put in their 5 hours of maintenance work.

Thirty-one years ago

• The bus school studies Native Americans with trips to Pinole Creek, Alvarado Park and Ishi’s room at UCB.
• Extended daycare charges are $1.25 per hour for one child, $2 per hour for two.
