“Changemakers” Crestmont art show

Each of the four Crestmont classrooms recently collaborated on creating portraits of “changemakers”:

Every child at Crestmont took part in making the Changemakers portaits. Each image can be seen as a whole only through the expressive hands and participation of each individual. The process of making is a metaphor for the community effort of a successful cooperative. In this work we celebrate art, children, education, activism and community.

This art project was led by the amazing Carol Elkovich, with all of the teachers opening their classrooms up for the cooperative art project. The show is on display Lanesplitter Pizza in Berkeley for the whole month of April. Check it out!
