Read-A-Thon to Raise Money for Sister School in Nepal

The second, third, fourth, and fifth graders will be participating in a Read-a-Thon on Tuesday March 25th to raise money for Shree Shivalaya Primary and High School in Nepal through the 100 Friends Project. On the day of the Read-a-Thon children will have many ways to participate. They will read books of their choosing to reach their personal pledge goals; join read alouds (in both English and Spanish); solve math word problems (for those who choose them); have fun with “real-world” reading activities (ex. reading and answering questions about recipes. maps, menus, etc.); and more.
Update: The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders raised $2,752.18 for Shivalaya School (in Nepal) this year. Amazing!
